Accepted to MERIT 2013!

I opened the email yesterday, and it stated, “Congratulations Lisa,  You are invited to participate in MERIT 2013!”

MERIT is an acronym for Making Education Relevant and Interactive through Technology.

From their website:

For more than a decade, the Krause Center for Innovation at Foothill College (KCI) has hosted one of the premier educational technology-focused professional development programs in the United States.  MERIT is a research-based, educator development program designed to help teachers bolster their curriculum with student-centered, technology-enhanced learning activities to motivate, challenge and inspire the diverse learners and leaders of the future.

I am feeling so blessed to be able to take part in such an amazing program.  @lhighfill @dowbiggin @LS_Karl @magrelacanela @rushtonh are all highly respected edtech leaders, and they are associated with MERIT, having been directors, instructors, or members of a cohort for past and current MERIT programs.  I hope to blog about this experience once it fully begins this summer (mid-July).  Until then, I am going to be on cloud nine!
